Postira is on the island of Brač, which is reached by ferry from Split. The most frequent ferry route connects Split with Supetar, and from there it is a short drive or bus ride to Postira; the ferry journey takes about an hour. There is also a ferry from Split to Bol, at the eastern end of the island. Buses run between Supetar and Postira, and taxis are available at the ferry ports. On the island, renting a car or scooter gives you the most flexibility to explore, though local buses also connect the main settlements. Dubrovnik is much farther south along the coast and is not a practical starting point for a day trip to Postira.
