Tribunj grew up around fishing, and that heritage is still part of daily life here. The parish church of the Assumption of Mary and the Church of St. Nicholas on the hill are local landmarks, and the town looks out over the archipelago with easy access to the sea. Visitors come for the relaxed atmosphere, pebble beaches and seafood restaurants, and for Dalmatian coastal life without the crowds of larger resorts. It also works as a base for the wider Šibenik-Knin County, including Krka National Park and the Kornati islands. The listed hotels sit in and around the centre. Getting there and around

Tribunj is about 60 kilometres from Split Airport and 70 kilometres from Zadar Airport. By car, reach it via the A1 motorway, leaving at the Pirovac or Vodice exits. Buses connect the town to Šibenik and Vodice, and local bus lines run along the coast; the nearest train station is in Šibenik. Within Tribunj most areas are walkable, but a car is useful for exploring nearby attractions. Taxis and rental cars are available in Vodice.

When to go

The best time to visit is from May to September, when the weather is warm and swimming is possible. July and August are the busiest and hottest months, with average highs around 30°C. For pleasant temperatures and fewer crowds, June and September are the better choice. Winter is mild but quieter, with many tourist facilities closed.
