Having a car is the most practical way to explore the area and reach the surrounding hamlets. Taxis are available but sparse, and cycling is popular on the quiet country lanes.

The best time to visit is from late spring to early autumn, when the weather is warm and dry. Summer brings numerous cultural events, including the Svetvincenat Dance and Non-Verbal Theatre Festival in July, which draws visitors from across Istria. May, June and September offer pleasant temperatures with fewer crowds. Winters are mild but can be rainy, and some rural accommodation may close.
